Who we are… a big question??
I am Australian from Melbourne and in 1981 I came to Italy to study art and subsequently, Italian in Perugia, Umbria. I met my husband , Roberto, there, as he is from Perugia and his family is from Assisi and Santa Maria degli Angeli. At the time he was on holiday at home from his work and studies in Pisa. He is an orthopedic surgeon. We met and have been married for over 30 years now.
Borgo Colderba is a property which has been in my husband’s family for generations and thanks to the forsite of my mother in law, the houses were renovated in a beautiful but spartan and ‘monastic’ style in keeping with the environment. I keep the properties in as good a condition as I can and try to avoid ‘adding’ too much to it’s style, but my real passion is the garden, and you will see me around with a saw , secteurs or a ladder….. always..!!!!
We have three daughters who are temporarily working and studying in different places around the world, but we hope to have them back with us some day.
